Modern Ukrainian Art: the Entrance to the European Artistic Space

Abstract

Social and cultural transformations in the period of Independence led to the considerable changes in artistic life in Ukraine. The main problem of the Ukrainian Art became its self-identification in the world cultural space. The group of artists appeared who knew and understood new world technologies as well as the new forms of artistic activities. By their creative work they changed stereotypes of previous times about the sense and content of art and who created a ground for the new objective understanding of artistic processes in Ukraine.
