To the Question of the Origins of the Ukrainian Civil Society: Basilian’s “Moral Divinities” of the 18th Century in Old Ukrainian Language

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the Moral Theology’s Texts, printed in the 18^th century in the Publishing Houses of the Basilian Order. Besides of their main goal of the religious educations of believers they also included information of social character. The aim of this article to answer the question about the role of these publications in the formation of the Ukrainian Civil Society.
