Abstract

Abstract. Abstract. The article studies historical memory as a component of the humanitarian security of the Ukrainian state in the conditions of Russian aggression. It is emphasized that historical memory is an important factor in the formation of national identity. It is noted that the awareness of one’s own cultural and historical identity creates the basis for the political subjectivity of the nation, the legitimization of state sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the stable functioning of government institutions. The emphasis is on the fact that historical memory is the basis of the humanitarian sphere of society, and the protection of humanitarian factors – language, culture, education, historical memory – is a task of humanitarian security in the conditions of Russian aggression. It is noted that in modern scientific discourse, historical memory is considered as a complex multidimensional socio-cultural phenomenon that plays a key role in the formation of collective identity. In particular, it is interpreted as a system of dominant ideas about the past that function in public consciousness and influence social behavior. At the same time, its dynamic nature is emphasized: historical memory is constantly being reinterpreted in accordance with current social needs, adapting the past to the challenges of the present. The ways of forming historical memory are analyzed, in particular, the formation of a new pantheon of national heroes - modern defenders of Ukraine, who gave their lives for freedom, independence and the future of the state. It is emphasized that the popularization of heroic figures through the media, in particular the Internet and television, significantly enhances the effect of forming historical memory. It is noted that a promising and accessible tool is the creation of virtual pantheons that allow storing and disseminating information about heroic pages of history. It is indicated that traditional forms are no less important - publishing books, albums, creating documentary and feature films, organizing exhibitions. Thus, exhibitions dedicated to outstanding Ukrainians popularize their contribution to world culture and history. It is emphasized that collective ideas about outstanding figures are an important factor in the formation of national identity, because a jointly recognized heroic past ensures the stability and cohesion of society.
