Abstract


The problem of formation and activity of the Ukrainian Orthodox hierarchy in the early modern time is researched in the article in the civilization context. The author analyzes it after two directions: European influences on the formation of Ukrainian Orthodox hierarchy and activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox hierarchy as a civilization factor in Russian Empire.
