Ukrainian Experience of the Christendom Unity: History and the Challenges of Modernity

Abstract

The article deals with the issue of Christian unity, searched by Ukrainian spiritual and secular elite since the time of Kievan Rus till the present days. Special attention is paid to the projects of Andrew Sheptytsky, Lubomyr Husar concerning creation of the autonomous Kyiv Church, which implementation should show a practical way to overcome the schism within the Christanity.
