De-communization in Ukraine: Postcolonial Context

Abstract

In the article the overview of content and character of the processes of de-communization taking place in today’s Ukraine as well of its prehistory in independent Ukraine is done. The main forms taken by the de-communization, its difficulties and the reasons of its different estimation by scientists and community are described. The role of historical policy and in particularly de- communization practices in ideological confrontation of information’s war is shown.
