Abstract


The article is devoted to the analysis of the humanitarian heritage of the Ukrainian people and its army in the context of the development of human civilization, which shows the natural course of becoming humane rules and traditions of the noble warrior, that in itself is a compelling evidence – responses to the approval of representatives of some ethnic cultures and the statements of the military-political circles of certain countries concerning the dehumanizing of violent behavior of our soldiers in the history of wars, and most importantly – in the armed conflict in the area of the ATO in the Donbas. International humanitarian law, which does fulfill the role of generally accepted moral and legal control of the armed struggle, includes a list of sources is not only codified rules, but also humane traditions of different nations, so the Ukrainian military-humanitarian legacy is relevant to the progressive development of this branch of law and humanization armed struggle, continuing for the second year in the East of the country.
